Easy summer beach waves

This is a great summer look, whether you’re in the city or at the beach.

Step 1: First, start with freshly washed hair. Go easy on the conditioner – if you put too much in, it will weigh down your hair and keep you from getting really good curls.

Step 2: With your hair still wet, work in your favorite styling mousse. Make sure you work it in evenly!

Step 3: Toss all of your hair to one side and dry. When it’s around 40-50% dry, toss your hair to the other side and dry. Make sure to leave a little bit of moisture – you don’t want it to be completely dry.

Step 4: While your hair is still warm from blowdrying, pull your hair into a bun and secure with bobby pins (not an elastic or other hair tie, as this will wrinkle your hair!).

Step 5: Leave your hair in the bun for at least half an hour to allow your hair to cool and the curl to set. You can even do this right before bed, and sleep in the bun to get an extra wavy effect!

Step 6: Remove the bobby pins and gently finger through the ends. Don’t use a brush or it will break up the curls too much.

Step 7: Spray your hair gently with hairspray, and you’re done!
